When Wokingham Area Access Group visited the Twyford branch of Waitrose there were only 4 disabled parking bays. The manager told us that the number of disabled bays were at the discretion of the company but agreed there was a need for more, and had received complaints about the number of disabled parking spaces available.
We also pointed out to the manager that the existing bays were quite a distance from the main entrance, while the able bodied shoppers could park right out side the main front doors. This criticism was accepted, and we are now delighted to report that Waitrose have added 2 extra disabled bays right outside the main doors.
Thank you Waitrose.
